INSTRUCTIONAL FRAMEWORK
Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction

For this multi-module course, I created a culturally responsive instructional video series to help Latinx families understand NWEA MAP Growth family reports through the lens of Latin culinary traditions. Using Merrill’s First Principles of Instruction as the instructional framework, the modules guide viewers through relatable cooking scenarios where animated characters explain complex assessment data in simple, engaging terms. I designed and developed all media assets using VideoScribe, Photoshop, and Prepare Pro, integrating voiceovers, visuals, and culturally relevant metaphors. A final Captivate-based interactive task reinforces learning by allowing users to apply their understanding in a simulated family scenario.
